About us

Located in Amsterdam Oud-West on the vibrant De Clercqstraat, the studio offers a warm embracing atmosphere, with all the best facilities to enable you to fully relax, connect and enjoy your yoga time. Yoga Circle is inspired by connection – with one’s own body, with nature, with each other. We’ve chosen colors and materials for our studio which reflect this vision and which can help create the conditions for a grounding and expanding experience, while honoring the traditional roots of yoga practice. We offer over 50 weekly group classes in various styles. From a gentle Vinyasa, to a more dynamic Ashtanga practice, breathwork classes, and restorative yoga. See the view schedule for the complete overview of all weekly classes and special events. We value connection and are happy to guide you to a class that suits your needs and wishes. With over 20 of Amsterdam's most experienced teachers we bring high quality teachings in an accessible manner. We look forward to welcoming you on the mat soon.

Cannot think to a better place in Amsterdam to practice mysore. Everything is perfect, starting from the teachers and ending up to the facilities and the shalas. Either you are new to the practice or an experienced yogi/ni, Yoga Circle is the place to be.

So nice to have this studio back, so cosy and homely- the teachers are really the best in Amsterdam and you can have a cup of tea on the smooshy sofa afterwards. Bliss 🥰

Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you're completely new to Yoga or just to Yoga Circle, you are welcome. The teacher or the host will help you addressing any question you might have, find your way in the studio and set up comfortably for class. Make sure you read the class description before booking a class and check whether the class is a match with what you're looking for. If this is your first yoga class ever, maybe check a less intense class or one of the beginners classes we offer at the weekend. Wear comfortable clothes and avoid heavy meals before class, as yoga is better practiced on an empty stomach. Be on time and plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before class - daytime classes will be checked in directly by the teacher and the door will be locked as the class starts. If you arrive late, you won't be able to join the class. Sorry.
You will find 2 practice rooms with floor heating, natural light and good ventilation, changing rooms with showers and everything you need for your yoga practice. It's always nice to bring your own mat if you have one (you can store it in our studio). However we have manduka yoga mats for use, bolsters, cushions, blocks and belts. Bring a (small) towel for the more dynamic classes or for using the showers.
We ask you to cancel your class at least 3 hours before the start of the class, otherwise you will be charged for the class. If you can't make it to the class last minute (within 3 hours) please be so kind to cancel your booking as well, so somebody else can take your spot. We appreciate your cooperation on this.
