    About us

    Huis Van Pilates is a fully equipped Pilates studio.

    Private lessons are recommended where you will be written a personal program. You then have the option to join the semi private lessons to complete your program, sharing the room with a maximum of 4 people.

    Huis Van Pilates believes in everyone working to their own body and goals. It is the most effective way to get results and progress. Suitable for everyone, as the class is designed for you. Do you want results? Want to move better in everyday life? Want to make personal changes? Want to feel and understand your body better? This is the studio for you.

    These classes are also recommended for people who have dedicated training goals and any injuries or conditions.

    Matwork classes or duo/trio equipment, we all move together and everyone does the same things. Therefore these classes are only suitable for people that have no injuries or conditions.

    Tamara is a very good and pleasant teacher with focus and an eye for detail and a lot of in dept knowledge. The atmosphere of the studio is open and pleasant, allowing me to really get my own full focus. As a result my posture has improved, my breathing is better integrated and I have become more aware of my body. Compliments! I’ve only recently discovered Pilates and already experienced with Tamara’s guidance what positive outcomes it can bring me!

    About the Team

    Pilates Teacher highly trained to in work with conditions such as scoliosis, back pain, shoulder and neck injuries.

    Tamara started teaching over 15 years ago starting as a gym floor instructor for Virgin Active UK, then as a gym floor manager and Pilates teacher.

    "I became interested in the Pilates method as I was continually suffering from injuries from my personal training routine. Pilates helped me retrain my body movements so I could move more effectively.

    I became a self- employed Personal Trainer and left Virgin Active. I also wanted to deepen my Pilates knowledge and embarked on a course with the Pilates Foundation. This was a 2 and half year course studying movement, anatomy and the Pilates Method with the renowned Anne-Marie Zulkahari . I retrained on the Matwork and learnt how to use the Pilates Equipment. The course was a huge personal challenge which involved lectures and regular hours assisting in the studio. It taught me how to look after my own body and my clients. I started working as a Pilates teacher in studios across London and Surrey. I really appreciate the fact studios offer small classes and the full Pilates Equipment experience.

    Being in a car accident helped me to understand the importance of rehab work. I had a lucky escape with just whiplash but I had to learn and understand how to look after my body properly. If I don’t take care of myself my neck soon lets me know! My classes reflect my personal training background but also my passion for rehab work.

    I decided to move the Netherlands to expand my horizons. I love living here and particularly love the cycling culture.

    After teaching classes locally then I became the proud owner of Huis Van Pilates in January 2021.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Naast onze expertise worden persoonlijke benadering en aandacht zeer gewaardeerd.
    Pilates kan worden uitgevoerd op blote voeten maar we moedigen het dragen van anti-slip sokken aan. Voor de matlessen breng je ook een (anti-slip) handdoek mee.
    Er zijn vanzelfsprekend matten aanwezig in de studio maar je eigen mat meebrengen is prima.
    Je kunt je les tot 12 uur van tevoren kosteloos annuleren. Later dan 12 uur voor aanvang van de les wordt deze in rekening gebracht.
    De meeste mensen weten ons te vinden op de fiets maar mocht je met de auto komen, dan is er een (beperkt) aantal parkeervergunningen in de studio aanwezig.
