Salsa Musicality (SSP Rotterdam)

Do you want to better understand salsa music and learn how to be able to play with the music as a dancer? Then you cannot miss this Musicality workshop!

In this 3 hour workshop, we will listen and play to learn to recognize the different music instruments and rhythms, how they work together to create a salsa song and how to apply this knowledge about music as a dancer.

We will do some exercises, shines and partnering, with a focus on playing with the salsa rhythms and dynamics of the music. By playing with the music, your technique, personal style and fun on the dance floor will grow!

NICE TO KNOWSpecial dance shoes are not necessary. Make sure to wear clothing you feel you can comfortably move around in, maybe wear some layers.

In our classes we dance on2, that is salsa on the second count of the music. It’s not necessary to join our classes with a dance partner.
