The best way to understand something is to live it. That’s why Veda Ela’s Restorative Yoga is more than just a teacher training course. It’s a Life Training that uses the language of yoga and other disciplines to take participants on a journey of Self-inquiry and Self-discovery.

This Restorative Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training consists of 100 hours divided into 4 modules (or Fundamentals). The training will be hosted online with replay options for the live sessions as well as pre-recorded video's. Which means you can follow the training in your own time and at your own pace. Every online Fundamental will be available for 1 month. Each day starts at 2:30 p.m. Veda Ela plans to be done at 5:30 p.m., but would like to leave the possibility open to continue the live session after a 1,5 hour dinner break from 7 to 9 p.m.

Important information: Please know that the Fundamentals need to be followed in order, so you need to complete Fundamentals 1 before you can start Fundamentals 2, and so on.

Read the digital manual provided for each Fundamental BEFORE starting each level. Have it with you at all times for clarification, reviewing and consultation.

Props you will need: - 1 or 2 (if you have ) yoga mats; - 2 blocks (or thick books); - 2 blankets or more; - 1 strap or long scarf; - 1 or 2 bolsters or 2 thick pillows instead; - a device with the digital manual or the printed version; - a computer or phone for the Zoom meetings (have Zoom installed before the training starts).

Fundamentals 1 entails: ● Introduction to Restorative yoga
; ● The use of “props” in Restorative Yoga and its modifications
; ● Breathing exercises in Restorative Yoga; ● Mindfulness the meaning of letting go during the Restorative Yoga poses
; ● Meditations and Meditation techniques
; ● The benefits of meditation.

If we are allowed to host this weekend on-site at Yogasite, you are more than welcome to join live. In any case; the weekend can also be attended through Livestream or in replay.

There is an online stream available for this activity. To participate, take the following steps:

  • This studio uses Zoom as their streaming provider to online stream their activities. Download the according software or app to your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  • The access to the online stream is available 15 minutes before the start of the activity. You can find the link for the online stream in your online profile under “My bookings”. With a click on “Join online stream now” you will be forwarded to the corresponding page and you join the activity online!
  • Specific streaming providers, e.g. Zoom, allow participants to see each other through the video camera. If you do not want to show yourself or the personal environment, you can deactivate the camera function or cover the camera. The name you enter when you join the online meeting room will be shown to other participants. However, you can change your name at any time (e.g. only specify the initials).
