Minthe and Taita Damixi are decendants off the Maya Toltec Tribe from Mexico. We have invited them to bless our new studio and sit in a ceremony with you!
The Mayan civilization has a rich history of rituals and ceremonies, and cacao played a significant role in their culture. The Mayans believed that cacao had divine properties and considered it a sacred plant. The Mayan cacao ceremony was a ritualistic gathering where cacao was consumed to connect with the spiritual realm and achieve a state of heightened awareness.
What can you expect?
Setting the Intention: participants may be encouraged to reflect on their personal intentions, such as healing, spiritual connection, or clarity.
Blessing of Cacao:
Cacao: after blessing of the cacao by the shaman, participants drink the prepared cacao. The cacao is believed to open the heart and expand consciousness, allowing for deeper spiritual experiences.
Meditation and Reflection: after consuming the cacao, participants would enter a meditative state, focusing inward and connecting with their intentions. The shaman may guide the group through visualizations, breathing exercises, or other techniques to deepen the experience.
Sharing:
Towards the end of the ceremony, participants may be given an opportunity to share their experiences, insights, or emotions that arose during the ceremony. This sharing can help with the integration of the ceremony’s effects into daily life.
Sharing and Closing: after a sharing of experiences and insights, the ceremony would conclude with a closing prayer or gratitude expression.
