Rocket® Yoga 20hr Weekend Immersion*

This weekend immersion is for anyone wishing to deepen their personal practice and understanding of Rocket Yoga®; all are welcome!

For those looking to dive deeper, the weekend immersion is the prerequisite for the 50 Hour Rocket Yoga Teacher Training Certifications.

Dive into a playful practice called The Rocket because 'it gets you there faster.” This vibrant routine was created by Larry Schultz based on a modification of the traditional poses and variations from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. He developed these sequences while touring as the yoga teacher for The Grateful Dead to invigorate and strengthen students while still staying accessible to everyone.

Throughout the weekend you will gain an understanding of the foundational Rocket sequences

Rocket 1: A remix of the Ashtanga Primary Series.

Rocket 2: A remix of the Second Series with postures from the third & fourth series sprinkled in.

Rocket 3: A faster-paced combination of The Rocket 1 & 2.

The weekend will consist of asana practice, pranayama, lecture, hands-on support from David to build confidence, and drills to integrate into your personal practice to help you gain skills and techniques to master floating and flying. You will learn how to fall safely and work on accessible ways to become stronger and more confident in inversions and backbends.

All levels encouraged - beginner and advanced techniques will be covered. You do not need to be a yoga teacher or be able to do a handstand - seriously! This is where you come to learn. If you are new to inversions, David will give you tools to begin your practice. For seasoned flyers, we’ll work on drills and challenging transitions to discover new possibilities.

Expect to work hard, laugh, have fun and step out of your comfort zone.
