Breaststroke course - B - Start April 1st

The B course is the follow-up course of the 'Breastroke A course'. In terms of swimming technique this course is often the most challenging course. The objective is that one can safely and independently swim for longer distances: at least 50m and up to 100m in a row. Learning to swim the backstroke with an efficient technique will be the main focus combined with coordination and balance exercises in and under water. By first focussing on learning a proper leg movement in a horizontal position on your backside, you can use all your senses to emerce with your surrounding while breathing is less challenging. The backstroke will become your 'save stroke' you can always rely on and at the same time you'll have the perfect set up for learning the breaststroke.

Each breaststroke course (A,B,C, C+) last 6 weeks and so typically, it takes about 18 to 24 weeks to progress from zero experience and even fear for water to learning how to safely swim with a smile.

Depending on the swimming level it is sometimes possible to start with the 'Breaststroke B course' instead of starting in 'Breaststroke A'. Discuss the possibilities with the swim coach during your personal intake.
