An energetic fusion of ballet, pilates and cardio exercises using light weights, a ball and resistance bands. House of Barre classes will give you a full body workout leaving no muscle untouched. The classes are fast-paced and cardio moves are used to increase the heart rate, making this workout super effective and efficient. Our classes are set to upbeat and carefully selected soundtracks.

House of Barre feels like a small community. Everyone knows each other and the trainers are all super friendly and nice. The prenatal and postpartum Barre classes are a must during and after pregnancy or if you want a slower pace before making the move to faster Barre classes.

If you are looking for a heart-pumping, effective a d fun workout then this class is for you. Nothing gets me the same results as barre does. Great trainers, fun music and sweaty workout, it’s easy to see why classes fill up so quickly 😊

Über das Team

House of Barre was founded in 2019 by Eveline, who discovered her passion for barre training in Cape Town where she lived for 4 years. Back in The Netherlands, Eveline wanted to share her passion and the Capetonian way of barre. With House of Barre she created a boutique style workout space with a positive atmosphere where anyone – beginners and the experienced – can feel comfortable to give their all to create a fitter, stronger version of themselves.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

We are so excited to have you for your first House of Barre class!! Our classes are for everybody, beginners and the experienced. You do not need any experience in Ballet! Our classes are not based on a dancing choreography and the teacher will move with you during the class, carefully explaining the exercises. However, since the moves will be new for you, don’t expect to know all of the moves right away. During your first few classes, you’ll probably have trouble keeping up. It depends on the person and their background, but after three classes, most of the movements that may feel strange at first start to really click and make sense. Don't give up, you will notice that you are stronger every time and more used to this type of exercise! Remember: if you are feeling the burn in your muscle and start to shake, you are doing it right!! I hope you'll be addicted to barre exercises after a few classes just like I was when I discovered it!
Please bring your own mat. The rest of the equipment is available at the studio!
Online classes can be cancelled without cost anytime. In-studio classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the start of the class in order to be refunded.
House of Barre has a unique combination of strengthening and toning exercises mixed with boosts of cardio to really get that kick into your barre workout! You'll leave feeling satisfied, having worked all your muscles and lifted your spirit!
