Eveline is the best barre teacher l’ve ever had! I do her barre classes 2 a week and I feel so strong and fit! She is very experienced. The classes are really great, be prepared for some hardcore sports ;-)

House of Barre was founded in 2019 by Eveline, who discovered her passion for barre training in Cape Town where she lived for 4 years. Back in The Netherlands, Eveline wanted to share her passion and the Capetonian way of barre. With House of Barre she created a boutique style workout space with a positive atmosphere where anyone – beginners and the experienced – can feel comfortable to give their all to create a fitter, stronger version of themselves.

Why should I visit House of Barre?

House of Barre has a unique combination of strengthening and toning exercises mixed with boosts of cardio to really get that kick into your barre workout! You'll leave feeling satisfied, having worked all your muscles and lifted your spirit!

What should I know of the first visit?

We are so excited to have you for your first House of Barre class!!

Our classes are for everybody, beginners and the experienced. You do not need any experience in Ballet! Our classes are not based on a dancing choreography and the teacher will move with you during the class, carefully explaining the exercises.

However, since the moves will be new for you, don’t expect to know all of the moves right away. During your first few classes, you’ll probably have trouble keeping up. It depends on the person and their background, but after three classes, most of the movements that may feel strange at first start to really click and make sense. Don't give up, you will notice that you are stronger every time and more used to this type of exercise!

Remember: if you are feeling the burn in your muscle and start to shake, you are doing it right!! I hope you'll be addicted to barre exercises after a few classes just like I was when I discovered it!

Do I need to bring any sport equipment or is it possible to borrow it at the facility?

Please bring your own mat. The rest of the equipment is available at the studio!

What do I need to do if I have booked something but am not able to come?

Online classes can be cancelled without cost anytime.

In-studio classes must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the start of the class in order to be refunded.
