Would you like to start your own meditation practice, but you don’t know how?

In this workshop you will learn how to set the first steps to practice silence with easy techniques. You will learn how to set up your personal space and develop the discipline for your own practice.

You will experience different hands-on techniques, which will help you to set priorities in you daily life and therefore create more overview and peace.

We will cover topics as what meditation is and what it’s not. What does meditation do and what is the way to meditate?

Who is it for:

Anyone who is interested in meditation is welcome. Regardless if you are a complete beginner or if you are advanced. This workshop is for you if you want to learn about meditation and wonder how to start your own daily practice at home.

What to expect:

Anyone can learn to meditate. In this workshop we will be practicing different meditation techniques, discuss the practical questions surrounding space, time, posture & discipline and look how Yogic philosophy and neuroscience can contribute to a peaceful mind.

Meditation is about training your awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective - inside and out. We learn to observe our thoughts, feelings and physical sensations without judgement. This can help us to eventually understand them as well.

Daria Mnych is a Yoga Therapist and teaches meditation already for 6 years. Her own daily meditation practice started in 2007

What to bring:

Warm and comfortable clothing as the body can cool off during meditation. A water bottle. For the rest bring an open mind and some curiosity. All the props like mats, cushions and blankets are provided by the studio. No need to bring a notebook as you will receive a handout with a summary of the exercises at the end of the class.
