Restorative is an extremely relaxing yoga practice that acts on the nervous system, soothing it completely. This is the perfect class if you have been doing a lot of physical activity and are in need of an active recovery. It is uses props to provide necessary support to the body, facilitating a longer hold in āsanas (postures). This practice provides healing for body and mind. It is very effective to eliminate fatigue and stress, it assists in the recovery of physical, mental and pranayama (yogic breath work) practice. Pranayama presupposes primarily awareness, distribution and control of prana (bio-energy) through the breath and it will further enhance a relaxing state, being a bridge from the gross to more subtler bodies and it is a way to helps us moving toward spiritual enlightenment.

Nuno Azevedo
Born in Portugal and lived in different places and worked with many cultures worldwide. Nuno had his first contact with yoga when he was only 15 years old and has been practising since then. Nuno holds a Bachelor Degree from University of Arts London in Theatre Studies. During his performing career, he discovered spiritual health and healing. He followed professional courses in medical fitness, sports massage therapy and life coaching, working in the past decade as a personal coach and teaching physical conditioning at a performing arts university in Amsterdam. With personal experience and thorough professional knowledge, he shares his passion and helps people develop a more balanced life and finding their own strength and awareness in their mind and body. This in turn, works as a vehicle to increase mental and physical resilience that eases to the discovery of one’s own inherent nature. Nuno keeps traveling around the world and spends a few months each year in India, practising yoga and studying Ayurveda and Vedanta.
