We are talking handstanding, arm balances and inversions here!
Weekly class to practice your skills, all levels welcome! Complete beginners and already skilled practitioners welcome!
For skilled practitoners we can help improve what you already have, and hopefully give you some new found inspiration and advice. For beginners we will get you there, hopefully with regular attendance you can rid the mind of any fear you may have, and increase your confidence and self-trust!
Expect:
- Postures and exercises to strengthen, stretch and support the wrists, arms, shoulders and spine
- How to engage your core so you can control the wobbles
- The correct alignment of handstands and other yoga inversions and how to practice them safely
- Falling without fear / how to fall out of a handstand safely
- Working with the wall / without the wall
- Partner work/assists (because sometimes we need a helping hand)
- Other inversions such as forearm balance and headstand and arm balances like Bhujapindasana and Bakasana
- Members more than welcome, just remember you will get to learn this in the Mysore room as well, handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana) is part of the sequence as well
